Help Support Sherri’s Hat Shop
The note below is from one of our client’s, Carol Bruner. Please help support this great cause!
“I need your help. Most of my life I’ve dreamed of having a business creating and making something that would be fun and needed. Recently, I’ve been working on starting a non-profit organization, Sherri’s Hat Shop, which would provide custom made hats for children with hair loss from chemotherapy. It is named in honor of my sister-in-law, Sherri, who has been dealing wtih cancer and the consequences of chemo. A few photos are attached for you to see some of the designs.
I’ve entered the idea in a contest sponsored by Pepsi, who instead of spending money on Super Bowl ads is giving grant money each month this year to new ideas. These ideas get voted on throughout the month. So I’m asking for your votes every day in April. It’s fairly easy to do.
Go to www.refresheverything.com
On the bottom left corner of the home page, click the “log in” button. Then sign in (you only have to do this once), and you’ll be taken back to the home page where you can submit your vote.
There are 4 categories based on different award amounts. Click on the $25,000 category and the top 10 will show up. The goal is to be in the top 10! If Sherri’s Hat Shop is not yet in the top 10, just enter the word “hats” in the search window on the top right and it will take you to my entry. There you can read more about the idea, goals, photos and how the money will be spent (about 40% of the grant money will go toward making a “kid-friendly” interactive website where each child/teen can design his/her own hat). Then submit your vote! You can vote for 10 ideas each day, but remember, if you vote for another idea in the $25,000 category it more or less cancels out your vote for Sherri’s Hat Shop.
I’d greatly appreciate your vote everyday in April and passing this on to as many people as you wish. I’m not a competitive person (except for Boggle and Scrabble) until now, so I’ll probably be sending daily reminders to vote. They’ll be very brief reminders and it should only take 2 minutes of your day to vote.”
